He is the Chairman of Hong Kong e-Commerce Supply Chain Association (HKeCSC), it is established in 2017, the first non-profit organization in Hong Kong tailors for the professional leaders who are working in the e-Commerce industry specialize in Supply Chain Management with aims to share knowledge and experiences, and provide advisory to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).
Terry Chan is General Manager, 3PL for Lazada Cross-Border (Alibaba Group) in Hong Kong. In this role, he is responsible for the management of the Cross-Border 3PL and focus on the development of the transformational Cross-Border Postal Solution by working with the key Postal Operators such as, China Post, Thailand Post, Malaysia Post, Singapore Post, Indonesia Post in the South-East Asia.
He is invited to be the Advisor to the Asian Pacific Postal Union (APPU), APPU is a regional postal union which deals with postal matters in Asia and Oceania. It aims at improving postal services through understanding and co-operation among the postal administrations in the region. My role is to support APPU to extend, facilitate and improve postal relations between member countries and to promote cooperation in the field of postal services, in particular, about e-Commerce collaboration between market players and the postal operators.
He is invited to provide e-Commerce/Supply Chain advice to Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), an organization to organizes a broad spectrum of more than 330 trade fairs and promotional activities, 590 networking and outreach events, and receives some 640 trade missions, helping Hong Kong’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) connect with business clients and partners around the world. The HKTDC responses to latest global and regional economic developments and policies to help Hong Kong SMEs capture new opportunities. With China’s Belt and Road Initiative presenting tremendous potential in new markets, the HKTDC provides Belt and Road related market intelligence and creates business platforms to help Hong Kong businesses navigate a world of new opportunities through Hong Kong.
He is invited to the Industry Advisor to the postgraduate student of the Master of Sciences (MSc) in the Operations and Supply Chain Management at the Department of Management Sciences, College of Business, City University of Hong Kong. with aims to provide mentorships and coaching about eCommerce / Supply Chain Management.
He is appointed to be the Board Committee of Hong Kong Federation of E-Commerce (HKFEC) – a voluntary work, it was established in 2015 as a non-profit organization to join professionals and Ecommerce companies together to share on a common platform with the latest news, technology and opportunities. The goal is to make Hong Kong a better place for E-commerce business.
He is appointed to be the Charter Member (CILT) of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in 2016, and appointed to be the Logistics Policy Committee (LPC) and the Board Committee of the e-Commerce Focus Group – a voluntary work, with aims to provide logistics consultancy to the government authority in 2017.
He is appointed to be the Steering Committee of GS1 HK Summit 2017 after been invited as Speaker for the GS1 HK Summit 2016 (Frictionless eCommerce Strategy’s topic: Collaborating to Win, Optimization in the eCommerce Supply Chain) – a voluntary work with aims to contribute ideas, recommend and introduce speakers for the Summit to be held in November 2017. Specifically, to help 7,000+ corporate members (manufactures, brand owners, distributors, retailers) to transform and tap effectively into the phenomenal upsurge of digital commerce that is sweeping across the world. And, he is appointed to be the judges for the 2017 Top 10 eCommerce Website Awards.
He is invited to be the author for professional Logistics & e-Commerce related magazines – a voluntary work such as, SIDE Magazine, a new magazine which specializes in the topics of Startup, Internet+, Data and e-Commerce in Hong Kong.
Prior to his current position, he was the Sales Channel Management, Asia Pacific for DPDHL (Deutsche Post DHL’s DHL eCommerce). He was the Founder and CEO of EC-Post Worldwide Co Ltd in Hong Kong, a company aims to provide an innovative and secure global ‘One-Stop’ logistics distribution solutions to international e-Commerce customers in particular, for overseas brand products import into China and South East Asia. He held a variety of management positions with the leading multinational logistics companies such as, FedEx, Direct Link (Part of PostNord, the merged Postal Organization Sweden and Danish Post), S.F. Express (leading courier in China), City-link Express (leading courier in Malaysia), Yamato International (leading courier in Japan) and mass transportation company like KMB (leading bus company in Hong Kong).

He holds a Master in Business Administration from the University of London, Royal Holloway College, a Master in Science from the University of Manchester, Executive Diploma in Doing Business in China from the Fudan University of China, and a Bachelor Degree in Science from Hong Kong.
